Questions from a cancer patients
Mon, 10/18/2010 - 19:00
Hello Teacher, Thank you very much for your fast and detailed reply to my questions. I am doing as you said. Practicing motion practice morning 1x a day and doing still meditation the other times 2x day (afternoon and evening). I eat some grains now and a little fruit. My conditon is: I have had some good periods and some not so good. sometimes about 3 days ago was not well, some pains and itchiness feeling inside digestive organs (colon) and pressure and maybe some in other parts. But the past 2 days seems pretty good, for the past 2 days i felt felt a very slight naseau, but it felt like good thing to me....it semed to me, the chi was "finding" the blockage, I like to hope this means it starts to fight to heal it. ..... anyways, i have some hope, The good things are, i do feel soft warmth in dantien often, not so strong, but steady. iniside I feel calmed down some better than last week. My biggest difficulty with meditation is to keep concentration from wandering and going into deep stillness. My energy flows actively up du some, but as i said before, it keeps banging into clipping pass right side, making my body shake and shoulders pop up, Sometimes. I do my best to return focus to dantien and be calm, and enter to complete stillness...so I am not sure how to correct this problem. I do stretches a little in morning (forward and back bends) to help correct open up chest area. Also, I am wondering, in one part of the book (stage 2) it says to let mind will rest in lower dantien in stillness, then Imagine a soft Fire burining there. Should i imagine a fire burning there during the whole meditation, or just for a few minutes and then think of nothing the rest of the mediation? ... Or because i already feel warmth when i sit to practice, should i just concentrate to dantien then think of nothing? I am not sure if my question is clear, I hope you can understand it. I guess i am not clear what to do with the mind. I attached a video in another mail (name jason meditation video) of me doing stillness meditation. The movie is not so great quality, so maybe hard to see clearly the shaking/popping energy in it, but i hope it helps to explain my situation. and you can see who i am :-). Ok thank you again for teaching me, I am very grateful for your help Chris |

Hello Teacher,
Thank you very much for your fast and detailed reply to my questions.
Please do not always entertain the idea to keep banging into clipping pass. That is not correct. At beginning you can have such ideas in place but when the circulation and spontaneous motion can go along by their own course you do not need to have such ideas installed there again. Just do your best to fall into silent stillness and have all sense stop to work or in application. As to open up chest area, that is a complete wrong concept and practitioners should know there is no any artificiality to be required in achieving such targets. Just let naturalness to finish its own work.
Yes, you can use that method but not much. There exists a difficulty in mastering the appropriate degree when you apply it. Therefore, please be careful enough. Yes, you can have the fire burning then let it go. But if you already feel warmth in dantian area there is no need to do it again.
I attached a video in another mail (name jason meditation video) of me doing stillness meditation. The movie is not so great quality, so maybe hard to see clearly the shaking/popping energy in it, but i hope it helps to explain my situation. and you can see who i am :-).
It looks good. Please continue with the practice everyday!
