One day I chanced to know from a lecture that in Buddhism there are three kinds of objects that are discriminated by their qualities (三境). Can some person elaborate on the topics?

Three kinds of objects (三境)

Yes, there exists such theory.

These are:

1) 'real objects' (xingjing 性境), the objects which are arisen from true seeds, have true substance and function, and which the mind cognizes in their true aspect.

2) 'image-only objects' (duyingjing 独影境);

3) and 'archetypal objects' (daizhi 带质)
